BUT, if and only if, it feels right for you! If you’ve found yourself here, you may be contemplating OR you may have already decided to take a step towards improving your mental health. And to that I say— HECK YEA and WELCOME! There are several ways to go about improving your mental health, but with psychotherapy aka “talk therapy”— I believe it begins with a connection and a choice. There is no one size fits all counselor or client, so I urge you to be picky and active in that choice. I offer a free 20-minute consultation to help you make that important decision for yourself.
My approach to psychotherapy is integrative, person-centered, and rooted in mindfulness. I believe that YOU are the authority on your unique experience and that positive change can begin with a healthy connection in the context of a compassionate & collaborative relationship (between therapist and client). This is a space for you to feel safe, supported, and heard. I am also a big fan of teaching myself out of a job. I want you to develop the self-understanding and coping skills necessary to maintain your mental health & wellbeing AND also the discernment to know when you may need some extra support to get through life’s trials.
I work primarily with adult individuals experiencing issues with anxiety/depression, substance use, grief, attachment, relational trauma, complex trauma, family of origin, life transitions, work/life balance, motivation/purpose, and spiritual connection. I am open to working with other issues not listed here that may be within my professional capacity which can be further discussed in your consultation meeting.
Currently, I offer Online Therapy Sessions and Walk & Talk sessions for established clients.
